The Chinese Global Atmospheric Reanalysis (CRA) system operates with a model that has a horizontal resolution of T574, which translates to roughly 34 km. In the vertical axis, it incorporates 64 hybrid σ-pressure levels, with the model’s apex set at 0.27 hPa, corresponding to an altitude of approximately 55 km. The system employs a three-dimensional variational assimilation technique. The atmospheric reanalysis products are offered at five horizontal resolutions: 34 km, 0.25°, 0.5°, 1°, and 2.5°, and are available at three different time scales: every 6 hours, daily, and monthly. The products cover a comprehensive range of variables, including those related to the atmosphere, land surface, and oceans, amounting to a total of 204 variables. Testing and evaluation have confirmed the reliability of the data quality and the effectiveness of the products for various applications.
